Kiernan Shipka brought a daring twist to romantic lace while stepping out for the Los Angeles premiere of “Idiots.” The actress hit the red carpet in a Rodarte Fall/Winter 2026 look that combined delicate detailing with an unexpectedly revealing silhouette.
Kiernan Shipka risks it all in teeny tiny see-through Rodarte lace top for ‘Idiots’ premiere
Kiernan Shipka‘s outfit centered around a tiny asymmetrical crop top crafted from gray plaid fabric and strips of sheer black lace. The piece swept diagonally across her chest, leaving one shoulder completely exposed while a ruffled off-shoulder trim framed the opposite side.
However, it was the barely-there construction that really made the top stand out. On the exposed side, the top appeared to hang on by just a single ultra-thin string stretching over her shoulder. The nearly invisible strap was all that seemed to keep that side of the asymmetrical top in place, giving the look its “hanging on for life” effect.
The Rodarte top didn’t stop there. A wide panel of see-through black floral lace wrapped directly beneath her bust, revealing plenty of skin, while another sheer lace strip cut diagonally across the upper portion. Its ultra-cropped silhouette ended well above Shipka’s waist, leaving her entire midriff exposed.
She paired the revealing top with a matching high-waisted Rodarte skirt. The gray plaid design remained fitted through the upper portion before transitioning into multiple dramatic tiers of ruffles, creating plenty of volume toward the hem.
Shipka finished the look with pointed-toe black Andrea Wazen Demi heels. Additionally, Celeb Style Radar noted that she carried a Fendi Baguette Fringe Beaded Shoulder Bag. She styled her brunette hair in a sleek half-up, half-down look. For her glam, the “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” star opted for a glowing look, with rosy cheeks and a dark berry lip.
With sheer lace, a completely exposed shoulder, and just one tiny string holding everything together, Shipka’s Rodarte top easily became the riskiest part of her “Idiots” premiere ensemble.
