The 24-year-old discussed her family during her new Vogue interview. She spoke about Presley Gerber‘s struggles with substance use and mental health. The siblings are the children of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. Kaia explained how his situation affected everyone around him.

“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” Kaia said. She explained that she began putting her own needs aside. “I started to self-identify as the easy one,” she continued. Kaia said she “never wanted to ask for help.”

She explained why asking for help felt difficult during that period. Kaia felt it was already challenging having one child needing support. “It felt like too much to have two children who were needing,” she said. Her comments showed how she quietly handled her own needs.

Presley previously discussed his struggles publicly in December 2025. He shared his experience through an emotional Instagram video. Presley spoke about taking medications while dealing with panic attacks. He also discussed experiencing significant losses in different forms.

Presley said he wanted his story to reach people in different ways. He hoped others would feel less alone through his honesty. He also hoped to connect with people who could offer support. His decision to speak publicly later influenced how Kaia viewed his journey.

Kaia said watching Presley discuss his experience was refreshing. She noted that their parents had remained very private for years. According to Kaia, Presley became an example of openness within their family. She described him as someone willing to be “very human” publicly.

Kaia’s latest interview offered another look at her family relationships. It also showed how deeply family experiences can shape personal choices.
