Dimoldenberg discussed her celebrity interviews during a recent Capital FM appearance. The comedian was asked about people she had interviewed on red carpets. She was specifically asked who she would least want to see again.
Dimoldenberg initially hesitated before naming Goldblum. She explained that her answer came with an important qualification. “He gets too excited and talks a lot,” she said. She stressed that red carpet interviews require things to keep moving.
The host explained why Goldblum’s talkative nature could create difficulties. Interviewers can see other celebrities waiting nearby. They may also want opportunities to speak with different stars. A particularly chatty guest can therefore make the process more difficult.
“So… Jeff Goldblum,” Dimoldenberg eventually said. She repeated that the Wicked star “talks quite a lot.” She also clarified that her comments were about the interview format. Her answer did not suggest personal animosity toward Goldblum.
Dimoldenberg had actually interviewed Goldblum at the Oscars. Their conversation showed the actor’s famously energetic personality. The encounter also gave context to her comments about his tendency to keep talking. Her experience apparently made him memorable for a specific reason.
During the same interview, Dimoldenberg discussed another memorable celebrity encounter. She was asked which Chicken Shop Date guest surprised her most. The answer involved Jack Harlow.
