Keke Palmer finally addressed the romance rumors surrounding her and Hot Ones host Sean Evans, but she insisted fans had moved faster than reality. The actress acknowledged their chemistry while admitting the pair barely knew each other outside of their professional encounters.
Palmer’s comments came after months of flirtation, a kiss, and a cozy Brooklyn dinner fueled speculation that they had become Hollywood’s newest couple.

During an appearance on Evan Ross Katz’s Shut Up Evan podcast, Palmer laughed about fans wanting her and Evans together. She then made one thing clear: their relationship had not reached that level.
“What are we supposed to do, go get married? We don’t even know each other outside of work,” Palmer said on the podcast as per TMZ.
Katz suggested they could simply go on another date, prompting Palmer to laugh and question whether the situation had become entertainment itself.
The dating chatter started heating up after Palmer appeared on Hot Ones in September 2025. The pair shared undeniable chemistry during the episode, and Palmer even suggested a quick “smooch,” which Evans accepted.
Their playful connection continued when Evans appeared on Palmer’s Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast. Behind the scenes, he even joked that Palmer could become the future Mrs. Evans.
The history went further back. Palmer first appeared on Hot Ones in 2017 and returned in 2021. In 2023, Evans named her his celebrity crush during Chicken Shop Date, calling her a “very charming woman.”
Palmer later confirmed at the 2026 Cannes Lions panel that she and Evans were “hanging out” and taking things “day by day.”
Then, in June, the pair sparked more speculation when photographers spotted them enjoying a cozy dinner at an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn.
Palmer also recently posted a cryptic Instagram message about wanting romance, gifts and “the glamour.” Some fans interpreted the post as a dig at Evans. However, Palmer recently told Today With Jenna & Sheinelle that their chemistry felt genuine. “I couldn’t force that if I tried,” she said.
