Harry Jowsey pushed back at his Let’s Marry Harry castmates after several women criticized him online following the Netflix reality show. The reality star also opened up about grieving his father during filming and revealed that eliminated contestants later flooded his DMs.
Jowsey said he barely knew some of the women criticizing him, which made their sudden backlash especially confusing.

During an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show, Jowsey called the online reaction “very interesting” and “unfriendly.”
“Majority of them that are talking poorly I spent no time with them,” Jowsey told Julia Cunningham. “10 minutes with them a year ago and they’re the first people to get eliminated.”
He said some comments left him wondering whether he had even met the women involved. Jowsey also reminded viewers that he had encouraged the cast to speak honestly after filming.
“I was told before the show came out, told all the girls if you ever want to speak about anything, just do it,” he explained.
The Harry Jowsey castmates situation also extended into private messages. He said several eliminated contestants contacted him after the Netflix show, with some asking about appearing on his podcast.
One contestant, Lauren, allegedly messaged Jowsey after her early elimination. According to Jowsey, she asked him to get her removed from the finished show.
“You signed up for this. What are you talking about?” Jowsey recalled telling her.
He also considered creating a reunion through his podcast, potentially allowing former contestants to speak freely without him appearing.
However, the Let’s Marry Harry star had more emotional matters occupying his mind.
Jowsey revealed that filming coincided with the anniversary of his father’s death. He said production gave him one day off, and he begged to spend it alone processing his grief.
“I was on that rock sobbing and like letting it all out,” Jowsey said.
He explained that grief could suddenly overwhelm someone, even after seemingly better days. Jowsey later noticed himself withdrawing during the Netflix reality show as he tried understanding those emotions.
“I got to figure out what’s going on with me,” he recalled.
Watching the footage also proved difficult. Jowsey said he felt uncomfortable seeing himself kiss other contestants while struggling emotionally.
The Harry Jowsey podcast may offer another outlet for him to address the season once viewers finish the finale.
