Taylor Frankie Paul Backs Petition to Air Deeply Controversial Bachelorette Season

Taylor Frankie Pau is still hoping her canceled Bachelorette season will see the light of day. The reality star backed a fan petition urging ABC to release the unaired episodes.

ABC pulled season twenty-two after Taylor’s 2023 domestic assault video leaked online

Taylor signed the Change.org petition, showing she had not given up on the season that disappeared from ABC’s schedule days before its planned premiere.

Taylor became the Season 22 lead in fall 2025 and completed filming before ABC pulled the season from its spring lineup in March. The decision came after the release of a 2023 video showing Taylor in a physical altercation with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, drawing renewed scrutiny.

Taylor shared the petition through her Instagram Stories on August 13. “You guys started a petition for the show. I love you all,” she wrote, before adding, “I signed and left the link [above].” She followed the post with a screenshot of the petition and three crying emojis.

Taylor pleaded guilty to assault in 2023 and received three years of probation, which she completed earlier this month. The case returned to the spotlight after the resurfaced footage showed the incident involving Mortensen.

A Disney Entertainment spokesperson told the US Magazine, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time,” adding, “Our focus is on supporting the family.”

Taylor’s representative later said, “Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security.” The representative also said Taylor has taken steps to protect herself and her children.

Mortensen denied allegations about his conduct. In April, he wrote, “My focus now is where it should have been all along, on my son and creating a stable, healthy environment for him moving forward.”

Meanwhile, Utah authorities declined to file charges against Taylor over alleged 2026 incidents involving Mortensen. ABC has not commented on whether it plans to air the completed season, leaving viewers without a clear answer.
