Madelyn Cline has plenty of career highlights under her belt, but one recent project stands out above the rest. The “Outer Banks” star is opening up about why appearing in one of Sabrina Carpenter’s music videos quickly became one of her favorite experiences. She also talked about why she didn’t need any details before saying yes.
Madelyn Cline revealed she accepted Sabrina Carpenter’s music video offer without hesitation
During a recent appearance on Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast, Madelyn Cline reflected on starring in Sabrina Carpenter’s “House Tour” music video. She called it one of her proudest accomplishments. “To look in the mirror and to know that I am part of the Sabrina verse is truly one of… I feel like it’s one of my favorite accomplishments,” Cline said.
According to Just Jared, the “Outer Banks” actress also praised Carpenter. She said she has admired the singer for years both professionally and personally. “I adore Sabrina. I have loved her for so long. She is such a good, good person. She’s such a good friend,” Cline shared.
Carpenter texted Cline to ask if she wanted to appear in one of her music videos. The actress said she accepted immediately, even before learning which song it would be. “She’s like, ‘You don’t want to know which one or?’ I was like, ‘No, no, the answer is yes. Absolutely,’” Cline recalled.
Podcast host Jake Shane joked that anyone would jump at the chance to appear in a Sabrina Carpenter video, prompting Cline to agree without hesitation.
She also shared behind-the-scenes details from filming “House Tour.” Cline said production lasted two full days at a large home in the Hollywood Hills, with everything shot on film. She added that Carpenter and fellow actress Margaret Qualley directed the project together. “It was Sabrina and Margaret directing. It was their vision, and it was just two days of girlhood… and goofing off,” she said.
The MV “House Tour” was released in April 2026 as part of Carpenter’s “Man’s Best Friend” album. The music video also features Margaret Qualley and follows a campy, Bling Ring-inspired storyline set inside a Los Angeles mansion. Cline’s comments come as she prepares to return as Sarah Cameron in the fifth and final season of Netflix’s “Outer Banks,” which premieres next week.
