Harry Jowsey is pushing back against claims that say he and Amber Mozo have a fake marriage.
On Netflix’s “Let’s Marry Harry,” Jowsey chose Amber Mozo over Dannelle Davidson, bringing the validity of the TV marriage into focus.
Harry Jowsey says he and Amber Mozo signed marriage paperwork after the Netflix finale
Harry chose Amber as his wife during the Aug. 12 finale of the show. They exchanged vows and rings in a ceremony officiated by Amanda Kloots. Confusion and speculation spread after TMZ reported that it could not find any marriage records in the locations connected to the show. Sources also concluded that Harry Jowsey and Amber Mozo were not legally married.
In an Instagram video posted by Jowsey on Sunday, he clarified the doubts about the marriage. According to him, after the wedding ceremony, he and his new wife were taken back to the house. Here, the pair signed marriage-related paperwork. However, the network did not submit the documents immediately, as a public marriage record would have revealed the show’s ending.
Jowsey explained the situation: “Obviously, because it’s a TV show, they said, ‘We can’t submit this until after the reunion.’ Because basically, if they submitted it on that day, all the money, all the time, everything like that, everything they invested in the show would have been for nothing because it would have been ruined, and you guys wouldn’t watch the show.”
“So to save the whole experience for all the girls, all the crew, obviously Netflix and everything like that, they held on to the paperwork,” Harry explained in his video. Jowsey insisted that the mystery around the paperwork was important to preserve the show’s ending. He said, “It is out there, but now you will see once the reunion is done and out there if it gets submitted or if it gets torn up.”
Fans have to wait for the Let’s Marry Harry reunion episode to get clear answers. The episode airs on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT on Netflix.
