Bianca Censori has taken creative direction to a whole different level in Kanye West‘s latest music video. She showed her husband, literally, without his head, on a table. This is not the first time Censori took on the director’s chair for a music video. She’s also credited for her behind-the-camera work on “Father” and “King.”
Kanye West plays a role of headless body in Bianca Censori’s video
Censori took to Instagram to share a music video of ‘OK’ by West, which is a part of his “Bully” album. In the video, West appears headless, lying on a table and surrounded by a team of doctors and nurses.
Soon, two security guards come in with Ye’s head and keep it on the table beside the bed. They perform weird procedures, which include putting a hand in his torso and removing weird internal parts.
After tons of bizarre moves, they attempt to reattach the head to the body, and it works. Ye wakes up enthusiastically, with two swords in his hands. As the medical crew exits the room, Ye seems to sharpen a sword.
Fans also flooded the comment section with reactions to this creative, resurrection-centered music video. A user said, “You’re amazing at directing. I’m seriously being fr.” Another one added, “I’d love to see their behind the scenes thinking and brainstorming the visuals.” A third one wrote, “masterpiece.”
Other reactions also included “direct my video please,” “I love the creativity, not gonna lie!” and “Absolutely genius.”
Censori made her directorial debut with the music video for “Father” by Ye and Travis Scott. She shared her first-time experience as a helmer and her transition from art to directing in conversation with Architectural Digest.
“As my directorial debut, it felt like a natural extension of my background in architecture and performance art. Directing is not a departure for me, but a shift in medium; I’m still shaping space, bodies and emotion, its just articulated through film,” she said.
