Donald Trump Isn’t the Only President Natalie Harp Has Been ‘Obsessed’ With

Natalie Harp, a close aide to Donald Trump, has drawn attention over her access to the U.S. President. She reportedly joined Trump on a secret flight out of Turkey last month, leaving senior officials and journalists behind. Now, her brother, Preston Harp, has called her devotion to Trump an “unhealthy obsession” and claimed her interest in presidents goes back years.

Donald Trump aide Natalie Harp reportedly wrote letters to former President George W. Bush

In an August 18 interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett, Preston discussed his estranged sister. He said, “I think my sister didn’t break out of that delusion that our mom raised us with. Trump is everything my mom taught us to respect, so I think that’s where her infatuation with Trump comes from, honestly. Because I don’t think it’s a physical attraction, let’s get real.”

He added, “She’s his biggest fan, so that’s probably why he likes her. And she’s good-looking. She’s got a good personality.” He then explained that his 35-year-old sister’s interest in the White House began during her childhood. “I’d say since she was like 16, she’s had an obsession with, gosh, how do I explain this? She’s written letters to other presidents, let me put it that way. And so her dream came true finally.” He also shared details when asked who else she had written to, stating, “I didn’t see the letter, but George Bush obviously, during the Iraq War.”

Asked what message he had for his sister, Preston simply said, “I love you.” He also said he hoped she would change and realize that everyone on Earth belongs to the same human family, with no country better than another.

Trump’s son Eric Trump, who helps run the family business, called Preston’s CNN interview “absolute trash.” He described Natalie on X as an “incredible young woman,” a cancer survivor, and a genuinely good person. Trump also praised her as one of the hardest-working people in the White House. He said she is deeply committed to Donald Trump, her job, and the country.

Harp joined the White House as a presidential appointee when Trump returned to office in January 2025. According to White House records, Harp serves as a special assistant and executive assistant to the president, earning $150,000 a year. She is reportedly responsible for managing the president’s text messages and frequent posts on Truth Social.
