Dakota Johnson and Role Model have ended their relationship less than a year after they first sparked dating rumors. The Materialists actress and the singer, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, reportedly split “a while ago.” The former couple kept their romance mostly private. A source now says they have gone their separate ways.

According to PEOPLE, Johnson and Pillsbury first sparked romance rumors in December 2025. They dined together that month and later went on a date in Los Angeles. A source said in April that they had been dating “since late last year.” The source also said Johnson “does really like” the musician but wanted to take things slow.
Johnson previously dated Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in an on-and-off relationship. They got together in October 2017 and broke up in June 2025. Sources also indicated that Johnson and Martin had been engaged for “years.” Johnson and Pillsbury never publicly discussed their romance.
In April, a source told the outlet that Johnson and Pillsbury were “very much on the same page.” The source also said, “it just feels easy” between them.
The pair later worked together on Pillsbury’s album Chuck Timely & the Hourglass. Johnson appears on “Love I You” during a spoken-word moment featuring flirty lines between the two.
Pillsbury previously dated influencer Emma Chamberlain from 2020 to 2023. Before Martin, Johnson was linked to Noah Gersh, Jordan Masterson and Matthew Hitt.
Johnson now has two films in the works. She will appear in Verity with Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett. She is also working on Three Incestuous Sisters with Saoirse Ronan, Jessie Buckley and Josh O’Connor.
