Glen Powell shared a funny story about Josh Brolin’s home during a recent TV appearance. Powell said Brolin has a clear love for nude artwork. The unusual decor also confused one of Powell’s crew members. The actor remembered that moment with a smile.
Glen Powell says Josh Brolin’s Atlanta home is filled with tasteful nude artwork
Powell discussed Brolin’s art collection during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The 37-year-old actor stayed at Brolin’s Atlanta home while filming season 2 of Chad Powers. Powell stated Brolin has a “specific” form of art in his home. “He loves nudes,” Powell told guest host Jelly Roll.
Powell said his family also noticed the artwork when they visited. “Wow, like Josh really loves nudes,” they told him, according to Powell. He agreed with them but added, “Yeah… It’s tasteful.” The artwork later caused an even funnier moment with a member of the film crew.
Powell said he had several crew members over for the Super Bowl. One grip was impressed with the painting and saw portraits of Brolin and his wife, Kathryn Boyd Brolin. The crew member asked Powell, “Why do you have a picture of Josh Brolin?” Powell then stated that they were inside Brolin’s residence.
The answer quickly cleared up the confusion for the grip. Powell said the man responded, “Oh, thank God,” after realizing what he had seen. He joked that the crew member had thought he should warn Brolin about another man. Powell’s story illustrated how the art could cause a hilarious misunderstanding.
Josh Brolin also has an artistic side of his own. In 2024, he worked with Oscar-winning Dune cinematographer Greig Fraser on Dune: Exposures. Fraser supplied the photographs, while Brolin wrote poetry for the art book. One poem even focused on Timothée Chalamet’s cheekbones.
Powell’s story offered a lighthearted glimpse into Brolin’s personal taste and the unexpected moments that can come with staying at a friend’s home.
