There’s nothing more unfortunate than when your boyfriend’s wife causes you to have issues in your relationship. Sadly, that’s what Savannah Chrisley is dealing with right now. She and her boyfriend, Robert Shiver, have called it quits, and she says it’s all his estranged wife’s fault.
It might be hard for you to imagine that the Chrisley Knows Best alum would have time to pursue a relationship, considering how much time she spends advocating to have her fraudster parents released from prison. However, she and Robert have been going strong for nearly two years. Then, she uploaded an episode of Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley with an episode titled, “I Got Dumped.”
Savannah Chrisley and Robert Shiver’s breakup is confirmed
In the podcast, Savannah explained how Robert’s estranged wife, Lindsay Shiver, played a factor in the breakup. In July 2023, she was arrested over accusations that she plotted to have Robert murdered.
Allegedly, Lindsay conspired with her ex-boyfriend and one of his friends. The three of them all landed behind bars. This happened just three months after Robert filed for divorce.
According to Savannah, all of that divorce drama drove a wedge in their relationship. She explained, “I don’t believe that Robert and I would be where we were at today if she wouldn’t have caused so much mass destruction.”
Savannah continued, “She absolutely destroyed a great man when it comes to his heart and his life, just all of it.”
“She destroyed him, and he should have done a lot of work on himself before he and I met,” Savannah admitted. “He deserved to get to work through all of that pain and trauma so that he could move on with his life in a healthy manner.”
To make matters even more complicated, Robert and Lindsay still haven’t finalized their divorce. He shares three kids with her. She’s still awaiting her trial over the murder-for-hire plot. It’s a lot of baggage, and that probably would be enough to destroy any relationship.
“He’s no further along in his divorce today than he was the day that I met him, which is absolutely insane,” Savannah claimed.
Moving forward, Savannah said she wants to avoid dating married guys. She’s going to stay single for a little while, which will free up more time for her to push for her parents’ release.
