Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Painful’ Experience Might Fastrack Talk Show Exit, ‘Source’ Claims

Television personality Kelly Clarkson has gone through a lot in the past few years, including a messy divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, embarking on a Las Vegas residency, and a weight loss journey. She is now in the midst of stepping away from her wildly successful talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Sources close to the singer revealed to Page Six that her “painful” experience might fast-track her talk show exit.

Kelly Clarkson has had a ‘moment of clarity’ amid talk show exit rumors, ‘source’ claims

While the exact reason why the beloved host is reportedly leaving her show is not known, it has been speculated that Kelly Clarkson’s “painful” experience might speed up her exit from the show. A source close to the singer even told the outlet that she experienced a “moment of clarity” following the personal issues that led her to take the bold decision.

“This has all been very painful for her. The difficulty is that Kelly, like all of us, wants to be liked, and she had to deal with this new moment in her life,” the insider revealed to Page Six. “She knew she had to step down for a minute.” The source further added that Clarkson “has her priorities, and her family comes first.” Moreover, they believed the singer has been “humbled by the whole situation” that led her to get “a moment of clarity.”

This is not the first time Kelly Clarkson has left her fans baffled. In March, the 43-year-old songwriter took an unexpected two-week hiatus without offering much explanation. Her move left fans puzzled by the abrupt decision. A rep later stated the star disappeared due to a “private matter.”

However, during the show’s 1000th episode on March 20, the host broke down in tears. Clarkson revealed, “I’ve lost, alone, a lot,” hinting she has been dealing with something more intense. Things started spiraling after her public divorce from ex-husband and manager, Brandon Blackstock. She shares two kids with Blackstock — daughter River Rose and son Remy.

As per the report, the singer plans to step away from the show when the contract runs out in 2026. The industry insider said, “She knows her limits, even on ‘The Voice,’ when she was working so hard, she knew when she needed a refresh – that’s what you’re seeing now.”
