The couple has always said that they are still enjoying their engagement period. However, in May, during Vanity Fair’s “Lie Detector Test” series, when Ed Sheeran revealed that Blanco had already invited him to their nuptials, fans could not keep calm. Many believed that the couple had started planning their wedding and were keeping it under wraps.
Blanco has now opened up about his welding plans to Gomez, dismissing the rumors. In a recent interview with Australia’s “Today” show, Blanco clarified Sheeran’s invite and wedding date. He said he “just told” the English singer that he had to “come to the wedding” whenever the couple gets hitched. However, newspapers took “things out of context.”
Speaking about wedding plans, the record producer revealed that “unfortunately, we have not scheduled one yet. But we will,” putting all the rumors to rest. Nevertheless, Blanco’s life has been “great” and “couldn’t be better” since the engagement.
But during an interview with “Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware” podcast in April, Gomez did spill some interesting wedding details. The Rare Beauty founder hinted that the couple is not keen on having the traditional first dance as they will “feel embarrassed.” She is only “looking to have a special dance” with her maternal grandfather. Moreover, Gomez might also participate in the Jewish wedding tradition — the “chair dance.”
