A “freak accident” and bloody injury on the “Bride Hard” movie set compelled Rebel Wilson to get plastic surgery. The actor, who reunited with her “Pitch Perfect” co-star Anna Camp for the upcoming film, recalled her last night of shooting while talking to Access Online. Wilson revealed that she had to rely on a plastic surgeon after a gun incident left her with a broken nose and a trip to the ER. She further pressed for on-set safety, urging people to be careful while filming action scenes.
Rebel Wilson’s nose bust open during a fight scene on the sets of ‘Bride Hard’
Rebel Wilson’s plastic surgery stemmed from a “Bride Hard” nose injury involving a gun on the last night of shooting. She told Access Online about the “massive injury” she suffered while shooting the action-packed film. “In a fight scene, a gun accidentally got whacked across my face,” disclosed Wilson, adding that her “nose got split open.” She also revealed that it was “weirdly” the last night on set and final fight sequence when her nose “bust open.”
The star recalled the moments after the injury, claiming there was a “pool of blood,” which is often the case in facial injuries. She revealed “freaking out” while the medic rushed her to the hospital in an ambulance where they called a plastic surgeon. Wilson then explained how the injury could have “permanently disfigured” her had it not been for the surgeon and the multiple stitches. “It was just one of those freak accidents,” she claimed.
Despite Rebel Wilson’s plastic surgery, they collectively agreed that one couldn’t tell she had suffered from an injury. She further cautioned people to be “real careful with on-set safety even sometimes when it’s 3 a.m. in the morning and everyone’s tired.”
Wilson later described the incident to PEOPLE, sharing more details. She recalled how the injury resulted in a trip to the ER. She even remembered thinking if her face would ever be okay. “But luckily, they got a really good plastic surgeon from Savannah, Georgia, to come fix it,” she said.
