RHOM newbie Stephanie Shojaee and her husband Masoud Shojaee are rumored to have a net worth in excess of $300 million.
They’ve amassed this fortune through their luxury real estate business. During RHOM Season 7 Episode 4, where Stephanie made her debut, she explained that making a bunch of money has been her goal for years.
“My husband started Shoma Group, the third largest real estate development company in South Florida in the early ’80s,” she explained.
She later added, “I knew at a very young age that I wanted to be filthy rich. I’m sleeping and I go like this: ‘We gotta make money!'”
What else do we know about RHOM newbie Stephanie and husband Masoud Shojaee?
Stephanie wasn’t necessarily born with a silver spoon in her mouth. She grew up in Colombia, where she worked on her family’s farm. They made their way to the United States, and Stephanie attributes her work ethic to their immigration story.
“My parents came to this country with nothing but a backpack,” she explained. “Being a first-generation American has made me who I am today. There is no room for failure. You have to keep going until you make it. If one door closes, go find another door. If that door’s closed, keep searching.”
Similarly, Masoud’s journey to wealth started with immigration. He moved from Iran to the United States in the 1970s, where he attended the University of Miami. He leveraged his architecture and urban planning degrees to create the Shoma Group, and he’s been cashing in ever since.
