Why Janet Caperna is Recanting Her Sexual Assault Claim Against Danny Booko on The Valley

Every week, it gets harder and harder to want to watch Janet Caperna on The Valley. Even though Danny Booko might be a bit doofy, fans still love him. And the constant diabolical character attacks by Janet are becoming exhausting. In the most recent episode, Janet accused the voice-over actor of sexually assaulting Jasmine Goode, and the term didn’t land well amongst the Bravoverse.

Janet Caperna admits she could have used a better word choice in The Valley

Jasmine spoke out on The Valley: After Show regarding where she stands with Janet’s word choices on her behalf. The boat ride from hell only just aired, but the New Jersey native was rubbed the wrong way. She told viewers, “Being on the boat, first of all, I was super sea sick and I wish I wasn’t because I would’ve been popping off on everybody. I was so pissed. But I’m happy Melissa got in there and kind of spoke up for us.” Jasmine revealed she and her partner had already spoken with Danny, with both parties agreeing to move forward.

Jasmine seemed to back up Janet’s use of “Sexual Assault.” The former NFL cheerleader noted, “[Janet]’s not wrong when she says it was SA because it kind of technically is. But it’s to a point now where me and Melissa have to take care of that. If that’s something I want to talk about, then I should still be talking about it. No one else.”

Janet Caperna knows she is close to being fired

Janet should have known better than to drop that term on a public forum. As Kristen Doute noted, “It is so damaging to say things like that about someone, and as the wife of a lawyer, she should know that.” It also seemed like Janet had a change of heart. She shared, “I understand why that was, like, a tough pill for Nia and Danny to swallow. At the same time, when you put your hands on somebody’s butt without consent, that falls under the term that I used.”

She added, “As much as I’m like, ‘I probably should’ve used lighter words,’ I would love for them to let me know which words they’re okay with using to describe the situation.” At least Janet is reliable at doubling down instead of taking full accountability.

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
