Pamela Anderson Addresses Buzz That Meghan Markle’s Show Is a Rip-off of Hers

Pamela Anderson and Meghan Markle’s respective cooking shows have made headlines once again. Earlier, the Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” received backlash for being a rip-off of the senior actress’s culinary show. In a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” the host asked the 58-year-old about the rumors. The “Pamela’s Cooking with Love” star didn’t hesitate to give a straightforward response.

Pamela Anderson and Meghan Markle’s reality shows were launched back-to-back. While “Pamela’s Cooking with Love” was released on Prime Video on February 24, “With Love, Meghan” debuted on Netflix on March 4. Netizens compared the two cooking series and accused the duchess of copying Anderson’s.

Recently, the “Baywatch” alum had to respond to the speculations on the talk show, “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.” In a segment, “Plead the Fifth,” Cohen asked, “On a scale from one to ten, how much of a rip off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, ‘Pamela’s Cooking With Love?’” He also mentioned that several articles found the two series “very similar.”

The Hollywood star bluntly replied, “One. I didn’t.” She appeared to be stunned by such a comparison. Cohen further probed, asking if she truly didn’t find “any similarities” between the shows. Anderson denied by shaking her head and confessed that she “didn’t really look.” “But I didn’t invent cooking shows. She’s just doing her thing,” the former model added.

For those unversed, Anderson’s cooking show was about preparing plant-based meals with renowned chefs. Set in a rural Vancouver property, the diva hosted dinner parties after the meals were prepared. On the other hand, Markle’s reality series showed her cooking and gardening while inviting friends and a few celebrity chefs.

Meanwhile, a second season is on the cards for “With Love, Meghan.” However, several reports claimed that Markle and Prince Harry’s multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix might fall through. Reportedly, the upcoming installment is set for a late release this year. However, the contract seemingly expires in September and will not be renewed.
