Gretchen Rossi and Tamra Judge met during Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Orange County. By the time that Gretchen departed in Season 8, the pair were no longer on speaking terms. Now, Gretchen is back for Season 19, albeit in a lesser capacity. Even still, she is moving like a full-time cast member, calling out Tamra and other hypocritical narratives as she sees fit.
When Shannon Beador made a dig at another cast member, Gretchen swiftly reminded Shannon about her DUI, which made her no different than the person she aimed to disparage. And when Tamra watched a preview for an upcoming episode of RHOC and loathed what she saw, Gretchen quickly shut down her negative statements as well. Regarding the latter, here is the tea concerning this new feud that is now taking place online.
Tamra Judge reveals she was depressed when she was leaving RHOC, and threw shade at Shannon Beador’s DUI
During RHOC Season 19 Episode 6, the cast traveled to New Orleans. During this trip, Tamra threw out a rumor. In her claim, Katie Ginella went to a blogger. Katie reportedly told this blogger that Tamra roofied Gretchen during an earlier season of RHOC.
Upset but remembering the source of this rumor, Gretchen confronted Katie about this lie. Katie, in turn, denied everything. When Tamra found out that Gretchen believed Katie, she grew heated. But, as Gretchen pointed out, she has not seen any proof, so she cannot hold Katie liable for this rumor.
Then Jennifer Pedranti entered the conversation, asking Tamra about an unflattering image of herself that Tamra had gleefully shown to another cast member. “I don’t care about that,” Tamra replied. Realizing that Tamra was not herself, Jenn backed down, but Gretchen remained in the fighting ring. Gretchen next asked Tamra about the start of her feud with Jenn. Cue Tamra, verbally retaliating again.
“Okay, you know what? Tamra, you’re being rude,” Gina Kirschenheiter interjected. Gina then called Tamra “sloshed.” At this, Tamra promptly stood up from the table and exited the room. She then teased that she was quitting this series, which the cast will discuss next week in Episode 7.
As the preview for next week shows, Tamra is not receiving grace from her costars. So, she went online yesterday and slammed them all in her since-expired Instagram Stories, which several bloggers quickly reshared on their stories. “God forbid you guys ever have to deal with the pain [and] depression I was dealing with,” she voiced, sarcastically adding, “Maybe I should have gotten a DUI to feel compassion.”

Tamra has a lot on her plate right now. Her best friend, Teddi Mellencamp, has cancer. Nevertheless, Gretchen is not willing to let Tamra use this as an out for her behaviors. So, she reshared Tamra’s story, making sure to note that Tamra is asking for a level of compassion that Tamra herself has consistently failed to give to others.
After resharing what Tamra posted, Gretchen wrote, “I just got sent this post that Tamra did.” And this post rubbed her the wrong way, she shared, as “Yes,” Gretchen has “dealt with the pain [and] depression you are talking about [and] it was horrible.”
Gretchen next reminded Tamra that she has also experienced the tragic blows of cancer. Her first run-in with cancer happened during Season 4 with her late fiancé. Her second encounter took place in 2023. In this horrific instance, her forever love, Slade Smiley, lost his son to this god-awful disease, so yes, Gretchen does understand the pains that a cancer diagnosis can bring.
So, she continued calling Tamra out, penning, “you had not one [ounce] of grace for us. Instead, you spun lies about me [and] Jeff [and] plotted with the guy (who I took to court and now have [seven] counts against [and] over a million dollar judgement) to cause me pain [and] suffering during that time. And then you went on your podcast [and] made false statements about Slade [and me] after his son died [and] [spun] lies about us again. With no remorse for your actions. Only excuses, like you always do,” Gretchen ended.

Several hours later, Gretchen compiled these stories into a post on her wall. Immediately, comments started rolling in. Putting in full-time work on her part-time contract, Gretchen is now engaging with many of these comments.
When one viewer noted that “Tamra always wants compassion and grace when it comes to her, but doesn’t apply it to anyone else,” Gretchen replied, “Always.” And when another asked, “If her excuse is pain and depression, what about for the last 15+ years?” Gretchen answered, “That’s what I keep saying.”
Several times, Gretchen commented that she will always stand up for herself. She also slammed Tamra for bringing Jo De La Rosa, who dated Slade in Season 1, as her guest to a cast event. Gretchen clocked “the irony” of this by writing, “And she keeps saying I am stuck in the past, yet she walks through the door with our past.”
All of the comments (that we can see) are in support of Gretchen. Now, Gretchen might be deleting any naysayers that arrive on her wall. But it is also possible that people feel overly frustrated with Tammy Sue, just as Gretchen does. Either way, as one fan underscored, “Gretchen Rossi is activated, and we’re all here for it. Give the gal her orange!”
