Next Gen NYC Star Georgia McCann Discusses Omar Zaki Split: ‘Not the Right Fit’

We’re finally getting more details about Georgia McCann’s surprising split from Omar Zaki. On Season 1 of Next Gen NYC, we watched the couple plan their ambitious life together, complete with big business goals and luxury apartments. By the time the season was over, so was their relationship.

The breakup caused Georgia to reconsider her plans to open a nightclub/bowling alley/cafeteria in New York City, and now she’s opening up about what caused her and Omar to split in the first place.

For Next Gen NYC viewers, Georgia’s breakup seemed like it came out of nowhere. One moment, they were hot and heavy. The next day, they had gone their separate ways, forcing Georgia to have to become roommates with Charlie Zakkour. It was enough to give fans whiplash, but in an interview with Us Weekly, Georgia insinuated that there was more to the story that wasn’t shown on Bravo.

“There’s always stuff that’s not going to be shown, but I don’t know. It was not the right fit,” Georgia explained.

Meanwhile, Omar has been hanging out with Charlie and sharing Instagram pictures of his world travels. Georgia doesn’t seem to be bothered, and she said she’s moved on from Omar. She wouldn’t even care if he popped up in Season 2 of Next Gen NYC. That’s how much she’s moved on.

“It’s really funny too because by the time the episode was airing, I was very over it and removed from the situation, and now it’s resurfacing so that’s kind of trippy,” she continued. “But it’s chill.”

Instead of thinking about Omar, Georgia is spending time on Channel 1, an “underground events company” she runs with her friend. Between that and her grandiose plans for a nightlife establishment, she doesn’t have time to be thinking about boys. But if she does meet a guy, she said she won’t hesitate to bring him in front of the Next Gen NYC cameras.

“Would I bring someone on? Why not?” she told the outlet, spoken like a true reality star.

Next Gen NYC is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
