Jude Law suffers an oops moment as he trips in Venice
The Talented Mr. Ripley star was on one of Venice’s famous water boats along with his friends. After the boat docked near a platform, a woman got up and climbed out without any hassle.
Jude Law got up and prepared to exit the boat, but unfortunately tripped and fell on its edge. However, he pulled out his hands on time and managed to prevent his face from falling flat onto the edge, as seen in a clip shared by TMZ on TikTok.
The 52-year-old British actor was helped up by onlookers who were near him. The actor then walked and proceeded to sign some autographs, during which a cameraman asked him if he was fine twice. However, Law didn’t seem to notice him and continued signing autographs. The Sherlock Holmes actor’s fall sparked a plethora of reactions online. “Can’t believe Jude Law just took a tumble like that in Venice, talk about a splashy exit!” a fan commented.
Meanwhile, several fans wondered why Jude Law’s fall was news.
On X (formerly Twitter), one fan wrote, “Somebody get that man a walker.”
Another fan stressed that the Star Wars: Skeleton Crew actor’s fall wasn’t a “hard” one.
The Academy Award nominee showed up at the Venice International Film Festival to promote his new film, The Wizard of Kremlin. The film’s narrative is set during the Soviet Union’s final years and the early years of the Russian Federation. It follows Vadim Baranov, a fictional character played by Paul Dano, and also chronicles a young Vladimir Putin’s rise to power.
Besides Dano and Law, the film also stars Alicia Vikander, Tom Sturridge, Will Keen, and Jeffrey Wright, among others.
