Taylor Frankie Paul put out the call, and Bachelorette came knocking
The news of Taylor joining the Bachelorette was first shared on the Wednesday, September 10 episode of Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper. Taylor told Alex it felt “surreal” to reveal the news to the world. The announcement comes just weeks after two of her co-stars were cast on Dancing with the Stars.
“It has not hit me right now in this moment,” Taylor admitted. “I’m just thinking about it, and it’s not real. And it’s not going to be until I think the limo is pulling up, you know? And meeting the people.”
Taylor confessed that she’s feeling a little “nervous” about embarking on this new reality TV journey. She said she’s been asking herself, “How did I get here?” However, the answer is that she kind of asked for it.
The mother of three posted a TikTok a few months ago, joking about wanting to be on the show. The Bachelor producers caught wind and gave her a call. The rest is history.
Taylor said, “I don’t know if that got their attention … It was mainly a joke to me … Then we had a meeting. I still didn’t believe it until I got the invitation, ‘Will you be our Bachelorette?’ Same reaction, shaking, pacing back and forth. There’s no way, no way.”
The news of Taylor’s casting comes months after the Bachelorette producers put the show on a brief pause. The long-running dating show typically films at the beginning of the year, with episodes airing over the summer.
We then learned that the showrunners felt like Bachelor Nation was “in crisis” and recruited the Real Housewives casting team to help give the franchise a “fresh start.” They’re definitely getting it with this SLOMW crossover.
The Bachelorette Season 22 will air on ABC in 2026, and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives returns for Season 3 on Hulu on November 13, 2025.
