Ivanka Trump Might Swap Political Career for Influencer Life, Expert Claims

Ivanka Trump might be leaning toward the influencer life and swap her political career to become a content creator. The former First Daughter is finally embracing the lavish lifestyle with her husband, Jared Kushner, especially after her recent sightings with Gisele Bundchen, Kim Kardashian, and, more recently, with Beyoncé and Jay-Z. This has led PR experts to believe that there has been a shift in Trump’s professional preferences.

Ivanka Trump is ‘cultivating a softer, more aspirational public image,’ PR expert claims

A PR expert delved into Ivanka Trump’s career preferences in an exclusive conversation with the Daily Mail, as she leans more towards content creation. Stacy Jones, founder and CEO at Hollywood Branded, claimed that there has been a “noticeable shift” in Trump’s instance in recent years. The expert believes she moved her social media’s focus from “polished political positioning” and “curated family moments” to “more lifestyle-driven” content.

A “pivot” like this is reportedly often “very intentional,” and here, signals “distancing from the political arena.” Additionally, Jones believes she is moving toward “cultivating a softer, more aspirational public image.” She alleged that Trump’s Instagram “resemble[s] the strategy of an influencer,” suggesting that she is “repositioning herself as a lifestyle brand.” Posts, including packages from brands and product spotlights, also “align her with consumer culture.”

A second expert, Ryan McCormick, co-founder and media relations specialist at Goldman McCormick PR, echoed similar beliefs. He told the publication that Ivanka Trump’s “emergence as an influencer” doesn’t come as a surprise. Further elaborating, McCormick gave an instance about her content, often discussing what she is “thankful for, her fashion preferences, and even the charities she supports.”

The expert claimed that Trump is trying to reach the “largest audience possible” by not “preaching or politically polarizing.” He even reflected on her strong positioning as a content creator, with her focus remaining on “high-end luxury brands,” explaining that the company pays her for the promotions without explicitly calling it an ad.

Jones agreed with McCormick’s remarks about the socialite finding success in her career as an influencer. Moreover, Jones believes that she “seems to be in brand-rebuilding mode” and that her posts are working to reposition her public image and “reframe her narrative from politics to lifestyle.”
