Olivia Rodrigo opts for black mini dress at Emmys Afterparty

Olivia Rodrigo made a series of appearances in classic black mini dress across multiple 2025 Emmys afterparties. Her look quickly drew attention.

The dress, designed in a scoopneck babydoll cut, featured ruffled peasant sleeves and a bow fixed to the empire waistline. Rodrigo paired the ensemble with glossy black patent leather heels, a black JW Anderson Bumper bag, and minimal accessories. Her hair was left loose. Meanwhile, her subtle makeup emphasized a pinkish-red lips.

The singer began her evening at Jas Mathur’s post-Emmys celebration before heading to Vas Morgan’s star-studded Los Angeles bash. Later in the evening, Rodrigo continued on to West Hollywood, joining the HBO Max afterparty hosted at San Vicente Bungalows. At the event, she was photographed leaving with her close friend Iris Apatow and The White Lotus actor Sam Nivola.  Across all three parties, Rodrigo’s look remained consistent (via Marie Claire).

Rodrigo’s Emmy afterparties appearance comes as speculation builds around her upcoming third album. In a June interview with Daily Star UK, the singer reflected on how her songwriting is evolving alongside her own growth.

She said, “As I just grow as a person, and I learn more about music, and I have different perspectives, it’s impossible for that not to be reflected in your songwriting.” The singer went on to say that her aim for the upcoming record is to present “a more mature” and new perspective. She added, “I think that’s what’s so fun about writing songs, is you get to keep pushing yourself and learning and growing and expanding.”
