Don’t expect a second royal reunion anytime soon.
Prince Harry may have patched things up with his father, King Charles, last week, but a reconciliation with his estranged brother and sister in-law may take some time. There was no reunion with Prince William and Kate Middleton last week when the Duke of Sussex was in the UK for a visit. That’s apparently because their schedules didn’t align, but even if they had, it’s hard to imagine either would have used that free time to meet. “There is still ongoing tension with William and Kate,” a source disclosed.
There hasn’t been a lot of harmony since Harry moved to the United States, but that isn’t the only reason things remain tense between the royal siblings.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are “deeply hurt by the public disclosures” made by Prince Harry

It could be Prince Harry’s past words about his brother and sister-in-law that continue to sting. “There are lingering resentments of past conflicts, including Harry’s comments about Kate in his book,” a source told US Weekly. “They (William and Kate) are deeply hurt by the public disclosures, memoir revelations and interviews and criticisms of their roles, which they perceive as breaches of trust that require significant time to heal from, which is why they aren’t there yet.”
In Harry’s memoir Spare, he discusses his fears of losing his brother for good when Kate and William were married. “In my gut, I couldn’t help feeling that this was another farewell under this horrid roof,” Harry wrote. “The brother I’d escorted into Westminster Abbey that morning was gone — forever,” he added. The two were teenagers when their mother, Princess Diana, was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
The book also discusses a moment where Kate apologized to Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, for making her cry. There were also tensions stemming from an Easter gift exchange. Meanwhile Meghan reportedly told Kate one time that she had a “baby brain.”
The source did say there was “hope” the brothers could reunite during the holidays, but it’s too soon to tell.
