Colin Farrell accidentally let slip an F-bomb during a hilarious interview with Margot Robbie on The Today Show. Currently on the press tour for “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey,” the leading stars created a hilarious moment during the interview, thanks to a little verbal blunder.
Colin Farrell uses the F-word on live TV for this reason
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey stars Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie weighed in on their favorite snack during a segment of their interview on Today. The stars shared their go-to snacks they enjoyed on set, referring to a “crisp” or “chippy” sandwich. The crew surprised Farrell and Robbie with the same sandwich. It was when the pair was munching on the meal that Farrell accidentally blurted out the F-word.
“She’s constantly got pregnant appetite for the last 30-odd years,” Farrell gave a cheeky remark about Robbie’s unusual palette, earning a chuckle from the Barbie star. The actress recently welcomed her first baby with husband Tom Ackerley in March 2025.
The co-stars continued to rave about the sandwich they indulged in during filming. “Tayto cheese and onion, white bread, white, cheap bread, thick butter, and I brought one in every morning for her. That was my job every night was to make that for her,” Farrell explained as the pair took a bite from the sandwich.
“That’s not bad. Is that Tayto? That is Tayto. Is that Tayto? It is,” Farrell asked. When someone from the crew confirmed that it was indeed, The Penguin star cheered, “I f–king knew it!” Immediately after the slip-up, Robbie went wide-eyed in shock before bursting out in laughter. Host Craig Melvin let out a cackle as well, saying, “Oh my God!”
Farrell hilariously tried to bury the accident, saying, “They misheard me!” Melvin too chimed in with, “You said ‘freaking’!” Robbie then went on to assure the viewers that A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is “a nice family film!” Needless to say, fans were left in stitches after the exchange, with many flooding the comment section with laughing emojis.
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey comes out in theaters on Friday, September 19, 2025.
