Reese Witherspoon is clearly a woman of many talents. Did you know the actress is a keen impressionist? As she proved in a recent interview, she can do a pretty good Nicole Kidman. Even if she hasn’t got the Australian accent down quite yet.
Reese Witherspoon nails her Nicole Kidman impression
Reese did her best Nicole impression on a recent episode of the Las Culturistas podcast. The accent may have been dicey, yet somehow, it was still like Nicole was in the room. Adopting a husky tone and what can only be described as a mischievous snarl, the actress channeled her friend, saying: “Reese, we must go on a girls trip, I have to have a tequila,” adding “Reese, you and I, we’re the property girlies… we love to buy property!”
It takes a pretty solid friendship to be able to roast one another. And that’s something Reese has learnt the hard way. The Legally Blonde star revealed earlier this year that she’s no longer on speaking on terms with another actress after a misstep she made at an award ceremony.
Speaking to People, Reese said: “So this friend of mine, who I didn’t really know that well but she was a very serious, proper actress, she asked me to give her an award. But I had never been to this award ceremony, so I thought it was like a roast. So I got up and I roasted her. I was like, ‘Remember the time we got laser hair removal?’ I’m still embarrassed about it.” She revealed the actress no longer talks to her.
Thankfully, Reese and Nicole’s friendship seems to be built on stronger stuff. The pair first met through mutual friends in LA, but it was when they became co-stars on Big Little Lies that they really hit it off. The pals bonded over their shared life stories – both starting out as child actors and being raised by mothers we were nurses.
