The drama heats up on Love Island Games Season 2 with Sydney Paight set to enter as a bombshell and reunite with ex Isaiah Campbell. Season 2 of the Love Island USA spin-off already features grueling challenges, shocking twists, and hot returning contestants, including a controversial Bravo star. But the drama will reach new heights with two exes in the villa.
Sydney and Isaiah met and fell in love on Love Island USA Season 4. They continued to date for a while after the show wrapped, but ultimately had a messy breakup. Before Sydney and Isaiah reunite on Love Island Games, let’s take a look back on their relationship history.
Sydney Paight and Isaiah Campbell had a rocky relationship on Love Island USA Season 4
Sydney and Isaiah (also known as Zay) appeared on Love Island USA Season 4. This was the first season to air on Peacock. Sydney and Isaiah were both OG contestants, and were paired up on day one. But Sydney had her doubts about his feelings. She kissed fellow OG Andy, who then chose her in a recoupling. Zay’s reaction to this made Sydney realize that he had real feelings for her. They recoupled, and seemed like one of the strongest couples in the villa.
That is, until the infamous Casa Amor. While Sydney stayed loyal, Isaiah brought back Casa Amor girl Phobe. When he saw Sydney alone, Isaiah started to realize he made a mistake, and worked to fix it. Eventually, they got back together. After he won her back, Isaiah told Sydney he loved her and asked her to be his girlfriend. Sydney and Isaiah made it to the finals, and were crowned the Season 4 runners-up.
Why did Sydney and Isaiah split before Love Island Games?
Sydney and Isaiah continued to date after Love Island Season 4 wrapped. In fact, Sydney and Isaiah were the longest lasting couple of Season 4. The two made it work for a year despite the long distance relationship. Sydney lived in Los Angeles, whereas Isaiah lived in Florida.
However, it didn’t last. The final straw was a video of Zay kissing another girl at a bar. Once this came out, Sydney wrote that she was single in an Instagram comment. On the Forever Unemployed podcast, Zay claimed he blacked out and had no memory of kissing the girl at the bar. But the damage was done. Sydney also recounted the breakup on the Unattainable podcast. Despite how the relationship ended, Sydney said there was “real love” between her and Isaiah.
Two years after the breakup, Isaiah joined Love Island Games. Zay was paired with Nicola Gauci Borda-Warr from Love Island Malta. However, he recently told Nicola he isn’t attracted to her.
After her split from Isaiah, Sydney tried to find love again in a different villa. She appeared as a contestant on Love Island Australia. Clearly, she didn’t find lasting love in Australia, since she’s back on Love Island for the third time. But the twist of Love Island Games is that contestants don’t all join for love … some are just there for the game. Which is the case for Sydney? And how will her reunion with her ex go?
