We all already knew that Huda Mustafa and Louis Russell were together, but they just made things official! The news comes just weeks after the Love Island USA star dodged questions about their relationship at the reunion. Now, they’ve made things Instagram official with an over-the-top girlfriend proposal. You’d think they were getting married with the theatrics of this announcement.
Huda Mustafa and Louis Russell are officially dating
Fans first linked Huda to the Too Hot To Handle alum just days after the Season 7 Love Island finale aired. The two were out and about, holding hands, and then they showed up at a movie premiere together. A few weeks later, at the Love Island USA reunion, Huda got grilled over her connection with Louis, but she claimed that Netflix wouldn’t allow her to discuss it, which made zero sense.
We’re not sure if Netflix approved this Instagram post, but the couple made things official on Monday, September 22. The Love Island alum captioned the post by writing “off the market,” but the pictures said a thousand words.
She shared a carousel of pictures showing an apartment decked out with flowers, candles, and a sea of balloons. A balloon arrangement on the window read, “Be Mine.” In one melodramatic shot, Huda is dressed in all white, crouched down on the floor, seemingly in tears that Louis asked to make things official.
Folks in the comments seemed to have a mixed reaction to the news of their relationship. While some Love Island alums were supportive of their fellow reality stars, some fans weren’t as kind to the news of the relationship.
“Proves everyone’s point that Love Island is pointless asf,” quipped one fan.
Another added, “’My everything.’ It’s been a month btw.”
After cleaning up all of those balloons and flower petals, Louis found a second to slide into Huda’s comments with his own response. He only said two words. He simply wrote, “My Peace.”
