During a conversation at misSPELLING, Spelling revealed that Kevin used to do “drugs” and party with their neighbor, Sheen. At the time, Sheen also went through Kevin to ask her for a date. As she wasn’t comfortable going alone, she took Kevin and his parents along to the Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills. She noted liking Sheen’s personality, revealing, “And what I learned that night is how unimaginably intelligent [Sheen] is. Off the charts. And his humor was just so—talk about charming, smart, funny, witty. Like, this guy was it.”

Following the date, Sheen invited her to his party, which she agreed to go to, revealing that she was allegedly offered a “hot crack pipe.” On the same night, Spelling revealed that authorities showed up looking for Sheen, who was charged with misdemeanor battery after allegedly assaulting his former girlfriend, Brittany Ashland. The authorities were on a search for him as he was on the run. When Kevin asked Sheen for a favor, she turned down his request. Spelling said, “And he’s [Kevin] like, ‘Can we hide Charlie?’She immediately denied the request, saying, “Are you f—ing kidding me? No!”

Ultimately, Sheen surrendered himself to the authorities and was sent to rehabilitation. In an old interview with E!News, Sheen shared his positive outlook on the past, despite struggling with a long journey of addiction and experiencing a downfall in his career. He said, “I can’t live in regret. I tend to believe that we’re the sum total of all of our experiences, good and bad. And if I’m going to preach that, then I have to surrender to that as well.”
