Kim Kardashian has long been known for saying she would never get a tattoo. However, she recently revealed a hidden lip tattoo that reportedly carries a sentimental connection to her time with ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson.
Kim Kardashian flaunts her lip tattoo on Jimmy Fallon
For years, Kim Kardashian repeated her famous line: “You don’t put a bumper sticker on a Bentley.” It was her go-to explanation for why she stayed away from tattoos. But in September 2021, after hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time, she decided to make an exception.
Speaking with Jimmy Fallon, she admitted the decision was spontaneous. “Tattoos were against my ethos,” she said. “I got it in my mouth so that no one would see it, but I got it with all my friends — an infinity symbol, all of my girls came to support.”
The infinity symbol wasn’t reportedly just a fun group choice. That night also happened to be the evening she shared her first kiss with then-boyfriend Pete Davidson. However, the relationship ended in 2022.
When Fallon asked if the tattoo rumors were true, Kardashian flipped her lip to show the ink on national television. Cameras zoomed in on the small black infinity symbol, which she joked she sometimes forgets about. “Sometimes I’ll be flossing and I’ll see something dark in my mouth and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, what is that?’ And then I remember it’s just my tattoo,” she laughed.
Fallon also asked if the process was painful. Kardashian surprised the audience with her response: “It didn’t! I have a really high pain tolerance.”
While this was the first time Kardashian showcased the ink on The Tonight Show, she previously revealed it during an episode of The Kardashians in late 2023. The footage also showed her getting the tattoo on the night of the SNL afterparty, still dressed in her hot pink catsuit.
