DWTS Star Danielle Fishel Takes to TikTok to Show off Severe Bruising After Rehearsal Injury

Dancing with the Stars can be brutal! This isn’t just about the competition aspect, which is always fierce, but the toll the show can take on the body is serious, too. Danielle Fishel proves that by sharing her severe bruising on TikTok after she injured her leg. It looks awful, but the actress promises it feels better than it looks.

Danielle is not the only celebrity already feeling the pinch in the competition. Alix Earle also previously shared her DWTS badges of honor, which include bruising on her collarbone and even a toenail coming off. Ouch!

Danielle’s injury seems a bit more serious. The Boy Meets World star “snapped a tendon” in her right leg during practice. But she shared that she didn’t need surgery and would still be able to compete. Talk about commitment!

She gave fans a glimpse at her injury on social media and posted a video of her singing to her leg and thanking it for keeping on keeping on. She used the audio of Destiny’s Child song Cater 2 U and mouthed the lyrics, “Baby, I see you working hard. Wanna let you know I’m proud, let you know that I admire what you do.”

The bruise on her leg looks brutal. But her caption was hopeful. The actress wrote, “I promise,  my leg feels better than it looks.”

Fellow competitors commented on the video. Emma Slater wrote, “Babe, are you ok?” Danielle replied with, “Need a hug, come quick!” And the official DWTS account left a comment saying, “You are resilient!” She is indeed!

It looks like there isn’t much Danielle can do now but focus on pain management, staying healthy, and moving forward. She is committed to continuing with her partner, Pasha Pashkov. They are rehearsing and keeping up the TikTok shenanigans as they head into week three.

Hopefully, the injury doesn’t get worse as the competition heats up. Last week, Corey Feldman and Jenna Johnson were eliminated in a double elimination with Baron Davis and Britt Stewart.

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays, at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It streams on Hulu the next day.
