Maternity leave wasn’t a thing for Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy. She gave birth to her second child, her first with husband Brett Randle, on Saturday, June 29. According to her, she went right back to filming Southern Charm without missing a beat. But don’t feel bad for her. This comes with the territory of being a reality star, and she wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Why Madison LeCroy was happy to get right back into filming Southern Charm after having her baby
Madison spoke with Page Six about welcoming baby number two into the world earlier this summer. She first revealed her pregnancy during the Southern Charm season 10 reunion, and when they picked up cameras for Season 11, she was very, very pregnant.
Brett and Madison named their daughter Teddi, and it sounds like we’ll see her grand arrival into the world on the upcoming Season 11 of Southern Charm.
“I went back to work immediately. It’s been great,” Madison said. “I’m filming a reality show during the birth of my child, so there were no days off for me.”
For most of us, the thought of returning to work after welcoming a new baby sounds grueling. Madison, however, described a love-hate relationship with her job. She’s been at this for so long that she couldn’t imagine anything else.
“As far as going back to the show and things like that, that’s the part you sign up for. My job is my reality,” she said.
“You guys have seen me through not being married and being a single mom to then having a husband and welcoming a new baby,’ Madison continued. “So it felt right. It didn’t feel too overbearing. I kind of knew it was gonna come.
Madison explained that having cameras up during this time felt like a blessing in some ways. It helped her navigate the monotonous early days of postpartum. Rather than “sitting around waiting for time to pass,” she’s been able to focus on filming with her husband, and we can’t wait to see their adorable little life on screen when Southern Charm returns for Season 11.
