The Fifth Harmony girls are 0-3 when it comes to Dancing with the Stars. In a surprising moment during the September 30 episode, Lauren Jauregui was eliminated from the competition.
The elimination came as a shock to everyone in the room, but if there’s one thing about Lauren, you can count on her to keep it real. Her reaction to the news was instantly iconic, even though she only said one word.
Lauren Jauregui was “pissed” to be leaving Dancing with the Stars
In last night’s DWTS, Lauren and her pro partner Brandon Armstrong were in the bottom three, along with Andy Richter and Elaine Hendrix. We’re not sure if it was a matter of underscoring from the judges, confused audience voters, or some other conspiracy theory we haven’t unpacked, but Lauren and Brandon were somehow the lowest-ranked couple.
The studio audience gasped at the news. The fact that she and Brandon had just danced to Fifth Harmony’s megahit Work From Home added insult to injury. Thus, Lauren had the perfect reaction during the on-stage exit interview, when Julianne Hough asked, “How are you feeling?
“Pissed,” Lauren simply replied.
Bradon cracked up at that answer. Then, Alfonos Riberio asked Lauren to share some thoughts on their partnership. They clearly had chemistry, and it was just starting to translate on screen.
“I’m so grateful to have had you as a partner,” Lauren told him.
Lauren was the third member of Fifth Harmony to compete on Dancing with the Stars. Normani competed in Season 24, and Ally Brooke competed in Season 28. They both finished in third place. Perhaps the last remaining member, Dinah Jane, can break the curse and turn out a win for the Harmonizers.
