Taylor Swift has finally spoken about whether she will tour again, and to fans’ disappointment, it might not happen soon. To promote her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift appeared on BBC Radio 1 for a one-on-one with Greg James. There, she discussed music, Travis Kelce, and a variety of other topics.
The pop icon even answered questions from a few lucky admirers, as well as one specific query from James, which cleared up recent speculation about a potential tour.
Taylor Swift hints at her next tour, but it may not impress fans
Taylor Swift recently hinted at when her next tour might take place, and it might not impress fans. During her recent conversation with Greg James on BBC Radio 1, she disclosed her plans to tour again. Unfortunately, it will not happen anytime soon, leaving Swifties displeased. A report from shortly after the announcement of her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” had previously mentioned potential tour dates, but the update has now squashed rumors.
In one segment of the interview, the Grammy-winner recalled moments from her record-breaking Eras Tour. That’s when James slipped in the query, asking if there was another tour in the sights. “Have you got the itch for another something soon?” he asked, to which Swift promptly responded, “No, no.” She then made an honest confession about being “so tired” before proceeding to explain her reasons.
After this, the 35-year-old walked James through her thoughts about a tour right now. “Like when I think about doing it again because I would wanna do it really, really well again,” she told the host, who responded affirmatively. Swift’s admission about not wanting to embark on a tour anytime soon came just after she released her new album.
However, the update left the singer’s fans with mixed feelings. One Reddit user commented under the post how they would have “loved a tour,” but seemed glad that she decided to put “herself first!” Another commenter speculated that she might “do a big tour for her 13th album,” exclaiming that it “will be a huge deal. A third individual surmised, “I think she’ll tour after she releases like 1-2 more albums.”
Previously, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which spanned continents, became the most financially successful tour of all time. It also reportedly broke multiple records and shattered ticket sales.
