Keith Urban took to the stage yesterday for the first time since his shock split from Nicole Kidman. One person who was noticeably absent was guitar player Maggie Baugh. There’s been speculation that the pair could be more than friends following a video shared on social media.
Rumors suggest Keith Urban and guitar player Maggie Baugh have something going on
Keith performed in Hershey, Pennsylvania on October 2. Eagled-eyed fans noticed he wasn’t wearing his wedding ring, but seemed jolly enough. However, the split probably wasn’t far from his mind – he gave a passionate performance of his breakup song You’ll Think of Me.
The singer also made a subtle change to the song’s lyrics. Instead of singing the original words: “take your space and take your reasons”, he sang: “take your bullsh*t reasons.”
Keith’s guitarist Maggie Baugh wasn’t at the Giant Center concert. There’s been speculation that the two could be dating. Days before Keith and Nicole announced their split, he changed the lyrics to another song at a concert. While singing The Fighter, he seemingly made a dedication to Maggie.
The song’s original lyrics are: “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter.” In a video posted by Maggie to social media, he sings: “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”
She captioned the clip: “Did he just say that.”
Keith didn’t perform the song at his show on Thursday.
Nicole filed to divorce Keith on September 30. The couple had been married for 19 years. While the news came as a huge shock to most of us, sources say the couple had been drifting apart for a long time. They were last spotted together in public at a soccer game in June.
