The alleged rift between Taylor Swift and Charli XCX has no hope of easing now. The British singer liked a controversial social media post about the Shake It Off singer’s recent engagement. The controversial meme has caught quite a stir online – even if most fans don’t quite understand it.
Rumors of a Taylor Swift and Charli XCX feud continue to swirl

While Taylor’s upcoming wedding is tipped to be a pretty big affair, one person who won’t be on the guest list is Charli XCX. The Boom Clap singer is said to have ‘liked’ a meme that throws shade on Taylor’s engagement and fiancé Travis Kelce.
Clearly Charli didn’t appreciate being the alleged target of one of Taylor’s new songs. She liked a post with a caption using racially charged language aimed at Travis.
An X user posted a photo of Taylor showing off her new engagement ring. A meme account on Instagram then reposted the image, adding: “She captured his wiggerosity within the crystal on the ring. It’s a dewiggerizing amulet.”
Reddit users shared their thoughts in a post about the turn of events.
One user wrote: “As a native speaker of American English, I have no idea what this means.”
A helpful commenter explained the term used in the Insta post: “It was popular slang in the early 00s. Used entirely towards white boys who imitated the speech and dress of popular black rap artists.”
A third user added: “Liking a racist post about Taylor from a small mean account obsessed with Taylor isn’t a great way of rebuffing a song about you being mean and obsessed with Taylor.”
Charli has since unliked the post. It’s not clear if the “like” was a mistake or she removed it after she started catching heat for it.
