In the October 12 episode of Sister Wives, Janelle Brown’s daughter Maddie Brown surprises her family with an unexpected announcement. Maddie is expecting baby number four with her husband Caleb Brush.
But when she tells them the baby is due March 4 or 5, some of the family is brought to tears. “That’s mom’s favorite date,” half-sister Mykelti Brown says, causing her mom Christine Brown to smile.
“I feel like that was a Garrison thing,” Maddie adds.
Maddie Brown’s due date has a special meaning
Maddie’s brother Garrison Brown passed away on March 5, 2024. He was 25.
“That’s really cool,” Christine says, before yelling, “Garrison is all like, ‘Waasup sucka.’”
“March 4 or 5,” Janelle agrees. “Either day is good.”
“The idea of Garrison hanging out with one of his nieces,” Janelle says, tears in her eyes. “Ah, I can’t talk about it … It’s like full circle for her to have a baby. I’m excited.”
Following the Browns’ devastating loss, a new baby joining the family is very significant. Life moves on, and hopefully, the baby expected on the date of Garrison’s passing will take some of the sadness out of the day.
Though Garrison’s suicide tore the family apart, it also brought them together in some ways. After years of estrangement, the entire family came together for his burial in Wyoming. Subsequently, they’ve kept his memory alive by remembering his sense of humor and his deep love for animals.
However, as Us Weekly reports, Maddie gave birth to her baby girl on March 14. But she paid tribute to Garrison with her baby’s name. “Absolutely worth the wait, Miss Emilia Estelle Brush has finally made her grand entrance,” Maddie announced via Instagram. Maddie chose the middle name Estelle – which means Star in Latin – as a tribute to Garrison.
