Meghan Markle hasn’t exactly held back in accusing the royal family of treating her poorly. So it may come as a bit of a surprise that the Duchess is reportedly encouraging Prince Harry’s reconciliation with King Charles. According to an insider, Meghan is aware that she and Harry “need the royal family” and is urging him to get back on good terms with his dad.

Meghan is allegedly urging Harry to make up with his estranged family, especially dad Charles. A source told Page Six: “They need the family. Meghan is aware of that.”
The insider added: “Meghan knows that Harry won’t be returning to royal duties, but on a human, personal level, [she wants for him to be] able to get on good terms with his father.”
The news comes after the couple were given the “Humanitarians of the Year” award on Thursday. The couple accepted the award at a ceremony in New York, both decked out in Armani suits.
Harry and Charles seemingly took their first steps toward reconciliation last month when they met for afternoon tea. The reunion seemed to go pretty well – Harry was seen smiling after and told reporters the King was “great.”
Sources say the Prince was happy to see his dad doing well in the midst of his cancer battle. He is also said to have given Charles a photo of children Archie and Lilibet during the visit. The Duke of Sussex is reportedly making plans to bring Meghan and the kids to the UK in the near future, despite his concerns over security.
One person who reportedly isn’t so keen for Charles and Harry to reconcile is Prince William. Recent reports allege that he has given the King a pretty savage ultimatum regarding their relationship.
