Hilaria Baldwin Reacts to Online Critics After DWTS Elimination: ‘Bullied Off’

Dancing and returning to the stage was Hilaria Baldwin’s dream. However, her stint on Dancing with the Stars ended on Disney Night. Her Star Wars-themed quickstep with partner Gleb Savchenko failed to capture the audience’s imagination.

Of course, Hilaria’s husband, Alec Baldwin, and her seven children were in her corner. The entire family moved out to Los Angeles for Hilaria’s run for the Mirroball. After his wife’s elimination, Alec posted a sweet message via Instagram. “This has been such a large part of your life, and this is a dream come true for you,” Alec stated. “Never stop dancing, Hilaria. I love you so.”

Meanwhile, Hilaria’s casting on the show wasn’t without controversy. Hilaria has ballroom dance experience, and her technique was amazing. However, DWTS host Julianne Hough called her out for “campaigning” to be on the show. Hilaria denied Julianne’s accusation.

Recently, Hilaria posted an Instagram Live video to her TikTok, reflecting on her elimination. “I did get bullied off the show. I did, that’s for sure,” a sad Hilaria stated. “That is for sure.”

The former DWTS contestant also discussed the negative comments that she has received in an Instagram video. She posted the video in awareness of World Mental Health Day. “I would be remiss if I didn’t address the elephant in the room, which is that there was some bullying going on aimed at me over the past few weeks,” she stated in the clip.

Hilaria continued, “I’m so grateful for this experience that I had on Dancing with the Stars. I never thought I would dance again, and I have all of you to thank for writing into the show and making this wild experience happen.” She added, “I loved everybody I met there, and I’m really excited to cheer on my cast mates.”

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.
