I think it’s fair to say this season has been more about drama than love. Three engaged couples split up before the finale, suggesting that love may actually not be blind. The fights took up most of the screen time, leaving little room for moments of genuine connection. This season may not inspire any love songs, but it wasn’t a total bust. There is one couple I feel confident will leave the show as husband and wife.
Which couples will end up together in the Love Is Blind Season 9 Finale?
Let’s be real, the timeline from first date to marriage on Love Is Blind is insane. It’s so impractical that it took me years to believe the marriages on the show are legally binding. But surprisingly, the show’s success rate isn’t bad, especially compared to other reality dating shows. Nine couples that said “I do” on the show are still married, proving that the social experiment has some merit. In honor of the upcoming Season 9 finale, let’s take a look at our final three couples and deduce if any of them will bring that number of successful couples up to 10.
Edmond Harvey and Kalybriah Haskin
I am manifesting a runaway bride moment for Kalybriah Haskin in the finale. Edmond Harvey has been waving red flags since they left the pods, and she should steer clear of the altar. Initially, fans thought the two were a great match. The reveal went perfectly, with both Edmond and Kaybriah appearing completely satisfied with their partner’s appearance. There were no shocked faces or dodged kisses, just mutual attraction and excitement. Fans thought wedding bells were imminent, but then came the red flags.
First, there was Edmond’s emotional outburst over intimacy, which alarmed viewers and even caught the attention of a concerned therapist. Next, there was a conversation where Kalybriah shared Edmond is a totally different person off-camera. Concerning! I hope these two say “I don’t” in the finale.
Anton Yarosh and Ali Lima
I think there is genuine love between Anton Yarosh and Ali Lima, but I don’t think they are ready for marriage. Anton says his party days are behind him, but his actions in recent episodes paint a different story. The missing alcohol in the fridge paired with Melissa’s warning to Ali makes me hesitant to give them my stamp of approval. I think they need to have a few more conversations before stepping into a marriage.
Megan Walerius and Jordan Keltner
The one couple I am rooting for in the finale is Jordan Keltner and Megan Walerius. They are both mature and seem ready for a real commitment. If I had to pick one couple in the cast to double-date with, it would be them for sure. I feel myself exhale when they come on screen because they offer sanity in a sea of nonsense. Their connection feels real and I would happy if they say “I do” in the finale.
The only hiccup in their journey so far has been mismatched communication styles. Megan loves her fast-paced lifestyle, whereas Jordan is more chill and laid back. Merging their lives may come with some growing pains, but I think they are up for the challenge. Plus, Megan already conquered Jordan’s one dealbreaker. In his LIB bio, Jordan said he wants a partner who will “love his son like he’s their own.” The single dad recently appeared on the What’s the Reality? podcast where he shared that Megan and his son Luca were like “two peas in a pod”
“It just came so organically and natural,” he said. “They were just two peas in a pod. It was just, like, ‘I’m making the right choice here [and] I picked the right person.’”
He continued, “She just took such good care of me, and always made sure that I was just taken care of. She just understood my position.”
