Simon Cowell might be going overboard with the plastic surgeries.
That’s what one friend believes about the America’s Got Talent judge, as his appearance seemingly continues to change every time we see him on television. “Those who’ve known Simon for years are genuinely concerned,” according to a source close to the personality.
Friends claim the 66-year-old former American Idol judge has a surgery “addiction.” The judge recently appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, with many commenting that his face looked considerably altered. It was unrecognizable enough that some wondered if the footage was AI-generated.

Father time waits for no one, but Simon Cowell is hoping surgery makes his ageing less noticeable. Since the early 2000s, he’s been a mainstay on television, usually as an unpopular judge who tells it like it is.
In 2020, Simon broke his back after suffering an e-bike accident, making him very self-conscious about his appearance. While he became famous for his blunt opinions, he believes having a great look will keep him in the spotlight. “He’s frightened of becoming irrelevant – to him, being on television means looking flawless,” a source told RadarOnline.
He’s not on TV anymore for the money, as he still likely has more than enough, to live a plush lifestyle, with his 2024 net worth estimated to be $600 million. Given he’s still on TV that value probably hasn’t plummeted significantly, in fact probably the opposite. Simon is somebody with a lot of pride though, and he apparently cringes when he sees himself on TV. That seems to be the motivating factor for his numerous cosmetic enhancements.
A fellow presenter recently said that getting plastic surgery is something everyone in that profession does. That said they admit that Simon is overdoing it. Those closest to Simon fear that all the surgeries could cause permanent damage.
The X Factor creator previously admitted to using Botox but has denied ever having a facelift.
