Taylor Swift Felt Insecure About Her Dance Moves

When Taylor Swift performs, the world stops to watch. Her stage performances are spectacular, with electrifying vocals, amazing dance moves, and, of course, her show-stopping outfits. However, it’s not always been that the pop singer felt confident about her dance moves. Apparently, the “Enchanted” singer was reportedly “in her head” after she received a bad reputation for her dance moves, as revealed by her choreographer, Mandy Moore.

Taylor Swift’s choreographer explains how she responded to the ‘bad rap’ for her dance moves

Taylor Swift is known for setting the stage on fire, and her choreographer, Mandy Moore, revealed that the singer puts in a lot of hard work into her performances. Moore, who was the brain behind Swift’s Eras Tour dance routines, told The Mirror that Swift was “really in her head” as “she’d gotten a bad rap for a long time about her dancing.”

However, the choreographer worked on this by changing how the movement was “manifesting in her body.” Moore explained, “We shifted the focus to how movement was already manifesting in her body – the way she naturally wanted to move. And then we fine-tuned that, ‘OK, that looks a little weird with your shoulders,’ or, ‘Let’s straighten your knee here.’”

Further, Moore applauded Swift for being so dedicated to her art. Speaking to The New York Times, she said, “I really admire Taylor’s tenacity. She works so hard. Whatever I was putting down, she was picking up. And she’s very clear about what she wants, which I love.” Moore added, “I find I can’t create unless I have some parameters. The ‘do whatever you want’ thing, for me, it just feels like chaos.”

It seems like the 14-time Grammy winner’s devotion to her music is undeniable. For now, she is busy with her docuseries, “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era.” It will premiere on December 12.
