Stranger Things star David Harbour, who formerly spoke of being protective of castmate Millie Bobby Brown, is facing harassment claims from her. Prior to Season 5 filming in January 2024, Millie filed a harassment and bullying complaint against David.
David plays former police chief Jim Hopper, a father figure to Millie’s Eleven in the Netflix hit series. She reportedly had a personal representative on set during filming of the final season.

Since these allegations surfaced, comments David made about Millie in 2021 have resurfaced. “Millie and I have always had sort of a special relationship because I knew her when she was so young.” He added, because they met before Millie hit it big, David was protective of her. “I have a real, like, worry,” he said on the That Scene with Dan Patrick podcast four years ago. “I worry about her and the fame and all that she has to struggle with. And I’ve just always felt this kind of deep fatherly affection for her.”
Millie married actor Jake Bongiovi, son of singer Jon Bon Jovi, in 2024. The couple have an animal sanctuary in Georgia and recently adopted a baby girl.
The report comes as David has been the subject of new drama with ex-wife singer Lily Allen. Her new song “Madeline” from the recently released album West End Girl, reportedly is about her former husband’s infidelity. In it, she sings, “I can’t trust anything that comes out of his mouth” and “Who the f*ck is Madeline?” The lyrics also detail the couple’s marriage arrangement, which permitted hookups with others. She sings, “Be discreet and don’t be blatant / There had to be payment / It had to be with strangers. This has only ever been about s*x / I can promise you that this is not an emotional connection.”
David and Lily, who married in 2021, separated this past February when she found his secret Raya dating profile. His alleged profile described him as a “closet nerd” who “played tough guys on your TV.”
Part 1 of Stranger Things, Season 5, premieres November 26, with Part 2 debuting on December 25.
