SZA can’t seem to comprehend why Nicki Minaj has it in for her.
Speculation of bad blood between the two came when Nicki attacked the Kill Bill singer on social media, calling her both a hater and someone fake.
By all accounts, that rant caught SZA off guard.
“I don’t know her,” SZA said. This attack on SZA happened over the summer when she shared screenshots of Nicki mentioning her as someone to collaborate with. The Queen of Rap has reportedly been at odds in the past with Roc Nation, SZA’s label, over money disputes, among other things.

Whether it’s because of her affiliation with Roc Nation or something else, SZA appears is dumbfounded by Nicki’s hatred towards her. “We have no connection to each other. There’s no backstory. Like, there was no through-line narrative,” the Kiss Me More singer told GQ.
Money disputes are just one of the many things that Nicki has called Roc Nation out on. That said, no one has been able to connect the dots as to why the Starships singer is targeting SZA. Whatever the reason, SZA and audiences are scratching their heads as to how or why Nicki aparently has it out for the Grammy Award winner.
SZA is currently co-headlining the Grand National Tour with rapper Kendrick Lamar. Her movie One of Them Days has earned plenty of positive reviews, collecting over $50 million at the box office. Nicki will be a part of the American horror film series Anaconda, though her role remains a mystery.
In September, SZA asked that there not be any AI images of her.
Perhaps the beef Nicki has with SZA boils down to a rivalry thing. Nicki is reportedly the first female rapper with the most #1 albums. SZA has reportedly released three #1 singles.
