Eva Longoria has debuted yet another bold hair transformation. Just weeks after cutting her signature chest-length brunette locks, the actress went even shorter, unveiling a sleek bob that channels her iconic “Desperate Housewives” look. On November 4, the 50-year-old revealed her new shoulder-length bob in a video that quickly captured fans’ attention.
Eva Longoria wows fans with her new bob on Instagram
In the Instagram video, a makeup-free Eva Longoria sat in hairstylist Ken Paves’ chair with her damp dark brown hair, previously cut to collarbone length for the Academy Museum Gala on October 18. He had parted her hair neatly down the middle.
Dressed in a black barber cape, she recorded a short video as Paves began carefully crafting her new look. Her 7-year-old son, Santiago Enrique Bastón, whom she shares with husband José Bastón, made a playful cameo in the clip before the big reveal. Moments later, Longoria unveiled a polished shoulder-grazing bob.
Styled by her longtime hairstylist Ken Paves, the chic cut marks her shortest look in two years and channels her signature early-2000s “Desperate Housewives” glam as the iconic Gabrielle Solis. “When @kenpaves comes over,” she captioned the post, showing off the finished look in a black robe worn off the shoulders, paired with a delicate gold pendant necklace.
Paves gave Longoria’s new haircut a modern, Y2K-inspired touch, styling it with soft mermaid waves and a deep side part. This isn’t Longoria’s first time embracing a chic bob. In 2023, she arrived at the Academy Women’s Luncheon, hosted annually by Chanel, debuting a layered bob cut with a black-and-white checkered Chanel tweed jacket, a sequined black top, and navy high-waisted trousers.
The bob has dominated 2025. Earlier this spring, actor Leslie Bibb’s cheekily dubbed “c*nty little bob” went viral following her appearance on “The White Lotus.” Since then, several celebrities have joined the bob revival. Sofia Richie swapped her long waves for a chic French bob over the summer after dealing with some chemical damage, while Jenna Bush Hager got her hair trimmed live on air during an episode of “The Today Show.”
