Travis Kelce Said This About Tom Cruise’s Eras Tour Appearance

Travis Kelce talks about meeting Tom Cruise

Travis Kelce recently discussed his first meeting with Tom Cruise during Swift’s recent tour stop. Describing the actor with excitement, Kelce said, “Man is the greatest. Tom is awesome, too. Man, I had the pleasure of meeting him on Tay’s tour, man. And he’s f**king awesome. It seems like he’s a lot like, he does all of his stunts, obviously. And he seems like he’s very, I don’t know, like, lock the f**k in.”

The three-time Super Bowl champion said Cruise’s reputation for doing his own stunts and staying intensely focused made a strong impact on him. Kelce shared that the actor’s mindset reminded him of the discipline needed to compete at an elite NFL level.

Kelce explained that meeting Cruise wasn’t just a fan moment—it became a lesson in commitment and work ethic. He said Cruise’s approach to preparing for major roles mirrors what athletes must do each week during the season. The tight end also reflected on how he personally adopts that mindset during the team’s bye weeks.

Kelce revealed that he prefers spending that time alone to reset mentally. “Recharged,” he said, describing how solitude helps him refocus, similar to the way Cruise prepares for the demands of a movie set. The actor’s influence seems to be landing at an important time for Kelce, who has recently joined the cast of Happy Gilmore 2. Kelce noted that the work culture on Sandler’s sets offers a different kind of inspiration. “Not that Sandler isn’t, but when I was, when I was on Happy Madison set, like it was a huge family, like, everybody that worked on the movie,” Kelce said.
