Season 3 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives did not disappoint. The drama is flowing just like the dirty sodas. And Jessi Ngatikaura, and the state of her marriage, is at the center of the whirlwind.
During Season 2, Vanderpump Villa’s former server Marciano Brunette claimed that he had an affair with Jessi. He shared the secret with SLOMW cast member Layla Taylor. And when Layla shared this intel with Jessi, she owned up to it. However, she admitted to two kisses and an “emotional affair.” Meanwhile, Marciano initially claimed it was a whole lot more.
Jessi Ngatikaura hit a breaking point in her marriage
Jessi and her husband, Jordan Ngatikaura’s marriage woes played out during Season 3, including a 90-day separation. Jessi acknowledged that there was “emotional abuse” in their relationship. “It’s little behaviors over time, and then all of a sudden you look back and you’re too deep in it and you can’t do much about it,” Jessi told PEOPLE. “So I would say over time, I started to realize it. And then I just had a glass-breaking moment when I left him in [Season 3] where I was like, ‘I have to do something or else this is never going to change.'”
She continued, “I would say we both made mistakes for sure. Mine being the affair and his being the emotional abuse, but I think it takes two to tango.” Jessi added, “And having that toxic dynamic definitely got me into the mindset of where I was and why I did what I did.”
The couple, who share two children, along with Jordan’s daughter from a previous marriage, are working on their marriage. “We’ve been in therapy, and it’s been something we’ve been working on ever since,” Jessi said. However, there have been rumblings that the duo has split and is selling their home.
