The Real Housewives of Atlanta is long overdue for a cast shakeup. Atlanta is one of those cities that always has casting problems — the new girls tend to be one season and done. And often they rely on bringing old faces back into the mix, which doesn’t always work out the best. It’s time for some true newbies and Atlanta’s most fabulous to get thrown into the mix. And someone PLEASE get a peach in Marlo Hampton’s hands.
There’s been talk that Sheree Whitfield might be making her third return to the show for the next season. She’s been teasing it on Instagram and Andy Cohen mentioned an alum would be making a return to another city. Since Andy is not shy about his love for Sheree, it seems like she’s the safe bet to return. I’d bet on that over the idea that we’re EVER going to see joggers from She by Sheree.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is sure to have an interesting storyline thanks to Porsha Williams‘ new engagement. It feels like a fever dream since Porsha announced her engagement to Simon Guobadia after one month of dating. He got her a massive rock before his divorce with Falynn Guobadia was even finalized. And wasted no time getting his name tattooed on her neck, for some reason. Girl, is this some sort of identity crisis or something?
While Porsha Luther King has been celebrating her engagement and planning three weddings, everyone and their mother has been sharing some questionable accusations about their relationship. It started with a questionable timeline, cheating accusations and a whole lot of shade-throwing.
If you’re not Team Porsha, you’re against them. Just look at Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore, who definitely WON’T be receiving a save the date in the mail. The co-captain of Team Porsha is Shamea Morton, who we can blame for this whole relationship in the first place. Her only contribution to the RHOA universe as of late. Oh, and Gizelle Bryant from the Real Housewives of Potomac, who wants to find herself a man like Simon. Ladies, say it with me, THE BAR IS ON THE FLOOR. YOU DESERVE BETTER.
When Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams announced that she was in a romantic relationship with Simon Guobadia, it caused quite a stir. Yes–the same Simon that had recently split from Porsha’s RHOA co-star Falynn Guobadia.
In fact, Falynn was brought on the show as Porsha’s friend. And Simon is friends with Porsha’s baby daddy, Dennis McKinley. Awkward!
It’s not every day that a Housewife walks away from the limelight on their own accord. Let’s just say these roles attract a certain time of fame-seeker. But, there are exceptions to every rule.
Following her single-season appearance in season 11 of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Shamari DeVoe made it very clear to her fans and critics that she was NOT fired from the franchise. Instead, the singer who was brought on by her pal Kandi Burruss decided to leave the show on her own. If you blinked, you may have missed Shamari’s time on RHOA. Personally? I adored her.
Gizelle Bryant is back to roaming the streets of Potomac, looking for a new man to sit behind her at Real Housewives of Potomac reunions. She and Jamal Bryant aka Pastor Holy Whore recently broke up, because he really does live in the phone. Her three daughters have been vocal to give their mom dating advice, and maybe she should take some fashion tips as well to help her find a man. But Karen Huger would say her “fiery box” is the reason Gizelle is single, whatever that means.
Gizelle has been one of the only people in the Real Housewives universe to support Porsha Williams‘ recent engagement to Simon Guobadia, the ex of her old pal Falynn Guobadia. Gizelle and Porsha are clearly buddy-buddy considering Bravo’s Chat Room, so, for once, Gizelle didn’t have anything shady to say about the shadiest relationship of all time. Veryyyy suspicious.
The success of a Real Housewives season is based on several factors, one of the biggest being the cast. The Real Housewives of Potomac has been so successful because the cast is truly an ensemble and they all bring their A-game year after year. And we saw last year on the Real Housewives of Orange County that no matter how hard you try, some ladies will just NOT work well together to make good TV. The rumblings around the current grandma-filled season of the Real Housewives of New York is also evidence of that, especially considering they’re a teeny tiny cast of 5 this year. And that’s clearly why Bravo is taking its time to figure out the next move for the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Last season of RHOA was a bit all over the place. The Bolo hype was real, but aside from that, the season felt disconnected and a little stale. Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams will obviously never resolve their issues, and that as a storyline is played out. Newbie Drew Sidora and her bad wig was a bit of a bust. And Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey essentially brought NOTHING to the season, and 50 Cynt even had a whole ass wedding. And again I’m pleading, WHY IS Marlo Hampton STILL PEACHLESS? Make it make sense.
Claudia Jordan is the one that got away when it comes to Real Housewives of Atlanta. She shook up the cast dynamics, and wasn’t afraid to take anyone on. She definitely wouldn’t have served up a pandemic wedding storyline, thats for sure. Even following her departure from the show, this one keeps the RHOA cast in check on the regular.
Claudia has been known to call out the likes of NeNe Leakes in the past. What, like it’s hard? NeNe has done some insanely egregious things. Most recently, it was comparing herself to both Beyoncé and McDonalds in the same rant. The fuck?
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey’s personal life is flourishing. On October 10, 2020, Cynthia married her man, Mike Hill. Their wedding had over 250 guests, so Bravo peaced out of filming the nuptials for RHOA due to Covid safety issues.
Cynthia isn’t letting any fine women come to her house when her husband is at home, and twerking is a no-no. Mike had a history of cheating on his previous wives, and Cynthia is removing any opportunity.
